Cannot use FREE payment plugin.... error

When a subscribers signs up for a free subscription he can not use the Add/Renew option in his member information area to add a paid subscription option. The user gets and error when selecting fee based subscription.

What am I misssing here?

Hi, Just tried this on my site and did not see the issue.

Couple of things I checked was that my product cost was $0 for any products using the FREE payment plugin..

since I have multiple products, both pay and free, I elected to "assign" payment options to my products to avoid users selecting products with a cost, but selecting the free plugin as a payment option.

Enable some payment plugins at aMember CP -> Setup -> Plugins. You have only "free" enabled.

Also, for products with price = 0, "free" payment plugin automatically selected.
